Refugees and Asylum Seekers: Crisis in U.S. Policy

The statistics are staggering: in May 2018 alone, border patrol agents made 40,344 arrests… another 11,568 migrants to deemed “inadmissible”…the number of families attempting to cross the border illegally increased by 435% compared to May 2017…the number of unaccompanied minors rose 329 percent…nearly 11,000 migrant children were taken into government custody. Many of these are asylum seekers are fleeing from personal danger in their native countries.

Each person on this panel is either directly involved in the ongoing legal quagmire or has been directly affected by U.S. policies regarding their non-native status. Join us as we listen to their stories and learn about their important work.
