War of Words: Free Speech versus Tyranny on Campus

There’s a word floating around these days to describe the American college student: “snowflake.” According to Wikipedia, it’s a term used to characterize this generation of young adults as too emotionally vulnerable to cope with views that challenge their own.

The National Review contributor and constitutional scholar David French is alarmed by the growing intolerance of diverse viewpoints on college campuses and sees it not only as a threat to democracy and the First Amendment, but also believes it’s harming the students.
